When it's the Megastar who's doing the inviting on board "her ship" no less, you don't even have to think twice especially when the invitees only number to 25 people. "Masarap pala ang ganito, tayo-tayo lang so kwentuhan na tayo" was how Sharon greeted her guests. After a brief hiatus in show biz, Sharon is definitely back with a big concert tour that will take her to six cities in the United States. This month, Sharon winds down her tour by performing in San Diego and the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles where she has a poster in the theater's Hall of Fame along with Sheena Easton and Michael Jackson. Mid-July, we might see the Megastar back in action for a new television show, all still hush-hush, of course. But never mind. The Megastar had more kuwentos to tell, and SSM was there to record it all.

        On performing abroad
"Pinoy is Pinoy everywhere. Yung nga lang, people abroad don't see you live very often so they're a bit more excited and super warm. They give me so much stuff, and I bring everything home talaga in balikbayan boxes, from stuff toys to greeting cards to sweatshirts. My kids would always have toys for gifts.Noong araw maraming marriage proposals!"

Why she needs to redeem herself in Hawaii
"I was in Hawaii and Guam in 1986. This was shortly before my first marriage broke up. We didn't have a band in Guam, so I performed with a minus one. When we went to Hawaii, we said, 'Let's bring Mel Villena.' But we had to find a band there. Napilitan si Mel to look for musicians. So halo-halo - may puti, may African-Americans… Palpak! Hiyang-hiya ako sa audience ko. I keep telling Sandra (Chavez, her longtime manager), 'I have to redeem myself in Hawaii! Kahit $10 per ticket okay lang! Basta I have to redeem myself in there."

        When KC will finally commit
"KC's the type that I'd have to force to get married. Sila ni Hugo? Wala na…If she doesn't want to see him, I am sure there's a good reason. She's enjoying dating lang. There are so many things that she wants to do. Girls her age are aware of the million opportunities that they have. Hindi katulad ko na ang gusto ko lang sa buhay noon mag-asawa at magka-anak. I just ended up enjoying what I was doing."

        On returning to television
"I'll probably be back in July. ABS-CBN has several concepts in mind… my creative director will be Joey Reyes. May pagka-talk show siya and musical plus something different. It's really a feel good show. I opted for this kind because I think this is what our country needs now -- more positive shows."

        On losing weight
"I've lost 14 pounds, 500 more to go! I'd like to do it slowly this time. Unlike before, I'd lose 70 lbs. in 6 months. That's not healthy so I'm taking my time. I just avoid some food like rice and bread. I avoid ice cream. But I have a piece or two of Godiva dark chocolate called Carats. That's my treat. Chocolate doesn't make you fat. It's chocolate that's mixed in cake or ice cream that does. I haven't had coffee in a year and three months. Pero now, I've been taking coffee because of the stress so I've been having sleepless nights."

        What she does at night
"When I'm stressed, it doesn't show in the daytime. It shows up at night! I inherited this from my father. So my body is asleep, pero my mind is like a computer…parang sa Internet. It moves from one website to another -- it jumps so quickly [to the next thought]. I worry a lot. So [I wake up] jot down everything so I won't forget."

        Her to-do list
"I am thinking of going back to school to become a chef. I would love to do a nine-month stint sa Le Cordon Bleu (a famous culinary arts school in Switzerland). I also would like to take up interior design, co-produce more movies that would create more job. Oh, I want to produce a whole teleserye with a really good story and then have it dubbed in different languages like what the Korean soaps are doing here. That's why I need another lifetime to do all the things I want to do."
